I Am The Wind
I Am The Wind is a physical representation of the fanatical, visionary experience I had as a child. In this work, hand embroidered connections of thread act as the vibrant inner spirit of my childhood self, an animus and unfettered nature. The will of my spirit, earnestly reaching outside of my mothers windowpane and dancing in the wind through the branches of the trees, securing its place in the world. The tree acts as an organic symbol of life and deep red thread as a reflection upon the strength of my spirit immersing itself in an already rooted system of life.
